What is the Sirius Black Box - IC
- Translating the design into code using Webflow
- Responsive and functions perfectly across all devices
- Testing the website thoroughly before launch
A high frequency transformer must satisfy two opposing requirements:
HIGH INSULATION between the primary and secondary windings, which are connected to circuits at different potentials;
A GOOD COUPLING with minimum distances between the windings (of the order of hundreds of µm), so as to obtain low losses in the transformer and correct operation in the associated switching circuit.

There are many ways to build a transformer. The simplest way is to calculate a prototype considering the material you have in the laboratory or that you can find in the shortest time possible, create a first sample and adjust it several times on the circuit. By doing this, after a few attempts you reach the goal of making the machine work… and then?

To ensure the correct functioning of a high-frequency converter, the electronic components used should not be unique creations, but rather products that are as identical to each other as possible. It is therefore very important to guarantee repeatability in production, process control and verification of the result.

In an electronic converter the transformers, especially the high power ones, are usually designed specifically for the application, therefore free from standards of shape and electrical characteristics. This fact on the one hand is an advantage, since a “custom” designed transformer works well and makes the rest of the circuit work equally well. On the other hand, however, there is no standard for mounting on carpentry or on a heat sink, suitable wiring will have to be provided, there will be a need to size the fan for cooling…

When you buy an electronic component to assemble into a converter, you expect it to outlast the machine it is put into. How to guarantee safe and reliable products over time?

The design of a custom transformer involves a purely technical study, linked to its operation on the application circuit and its performance. At the same time it is clearly necessary to take into account the economic aspect and in particular the costs related to materials, production processes and processing times.
